# Laura Salini

**How long have you been part of the Marketing Signals team, and how did you end up here?**

I have been part of the Marketing Signals team for two and a half years, and I have worked in client services for 10 years in total. Before joining, I worked across a range of agencies, with clients from small and medium-sized businesses to global tech brands. When I was ready for a new challenge, Marketing Signals stood out because it offered the full spectrum of services, from SEO, link building and digital PR to paid media.

**What does a typical day actually look like for you?**

I start each day by clearing my inbox so no client is left waiting. I then review performance across each account and prepare reporting for my weekly or monthly calls. The rest of the day is about keeping projects on schedule and making sure our strategy stays aligned with the results, so our clients always get the best work we can deliver.

**What do you enjoy doing outside of work?**

Outside of work, I am happiest spending time with my family. I love being outdoors, whether that is a long walk or simply making the most of a sunny day. I also enjoy painting, and cooking.

**What's one thing on your bucket list?**

Top of my bucket list is taking my family to Vietnam for a whole month. I backpacked there on my own 12 years ago and fell in love with the country, so it would be amazing to go back and explore it all over again, this time with the people I love most.

**What's one piece of advice you'd give someone starting out in marketing?**

Stay curious and learn as much as you can from the specialists around you. Marketing is never just one skill. The best results come from combining SEO, paid media, content, PR and data, so the more you understand how each discipline works, the more versatile and valuable you become.

**What's the one tool or resource you genuinely couldn't work without?**

It is hard to pick just one, as my role involves a wide range of SEO, AI and Google Ads tools. If I had to choose, it would be Semrush. It gives me the insights I need to understand where each client stands and plan the right next steps, so it sits at the heart of almost everything I do.

What I like most about working at Marketing Signals is how much trust we're given to actually manage the client relationship, not just relay updates from someone else's desk. Customer success here means genuinely understanding a client's business, not chasing a retention number.
