Senior Search Marketing Account Manager

We are looking for an experienced search marketing account manager to join our business and lead our biggest SEM accounts.

This person will be the primary point of contact and so will play a pivotal role in delivering effective client communication and account management.

Working closely with the operations and strategy teams, the successful candidate will communicate with our clients including delivering client meetings, campaign updates plus weekly and monthly reports. They will also ensure that all campaign results are meeting the pre-agreed business goals and KPIs which have been set for each account.

The role will also involve speaking to other external stakeholders and suppliers when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • To confidently manage all client communication including emails and video calls
  • Attending client meetings and providing an exceptional level of customer service with a proactive approach
  • Manage the production of all weekly and monthly client reports including client presentations
  • Take the lead and have a proactive approach to interrogating all areas of campaign performance across both SEO and PPC.
  • Keep clients informed and abreast of how their campaign is progressing
  • Ensure each internal team is delivering the output and results in line with predefined KPIs
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in order to resolve any technical issues which may be restricting overall campaign performance
  • Write agendas and manage note-taking for all client meetings
  • Requests weekly updates from internal teams on client performance

Skills

  • Broad understanding of search marketing including SEO and PPC
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and associated tools
  • Exceptional communication skills and both written and verbal
  • Have commercial acumen and awareness of how impactful a campaign has been
  • Strong people management skills
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks and requests concurrently
  • Have a confident yet friendly manner
  • Have a forensic attention to detail
  • Have the ability to act tactfully and diplomatically when needed
  • Be able to deal with complex situations and non-standard work requests
  • Be persistent and tenacious in order to facilitate a desired outcome
  • Be able to think independently and come up with solutions
  • Be proficient in using Google docs

Experience

  • Five years of more of experience in a similar digital agency role
  • Experience in managing and growing client relationships in an agency environment
  • Will have previously managed big-budget search marketing campaigns
