The Challenge
LeaseLoco operate in one of the most competitive niches online. They approached us looking for further improvements in their organic performance, having already developed a strong brand presence in their market as the leading independent car leasing comparison site.
Our Approach
We assessed the current activity in terms of link building and PR as well as with a comprehensive technical audit of site. We then combined these insights and created short term and longer term optimisation changes as part of an overall bespoke strategy, rolling these in an order which would give the maximum benefit in the shortest time period.
Quick Wins
We noticed the main keyword was missing from the homepage title tag: one quick change and the head term moved up two places.
Full Content Audit
We audited each manufacturer and model page, providing insights and recommendations on how to update the content for higher visibility.
Link Building
We built links to key manufacturer and model pages to complement the PR activity, which earned links to the homepage.
Blog Topics
We collated all the best-ranking mid-funnel topics from across the motor industry and then undertook keyword research in order to present the most relevant opportunities for new blog content.
Bespoke PR
We created a bespoke PR strategy based around expert commentary, comments opportunities and data-led campaigns.
On-page fixes
We unearthed a number of on-page fixes, including some content duplication, which when resolved created a marked improvement in page visibility.
The Results
Leveraging on existing experience in this industry, we quickly managed to improve the rankings for the biggest terms in the industry including “car leasing” & “car lease”. Following a number of pending site and page copy improvements, these results will also start to be reflected in the manufacturer and models pages.
